Epic treadmillsWhen you look at it treadmills are basically the same. They all have the same basic parts used in there construction. They all include a motor which powers the running belt and the flywheel regulates the speed and balances the movement of the tread belt. Nowadays, there is a vast choice of electric treadmills available. The keep fitness craze has spawned numerous fitness companies such as Precor and Epic treadmills who produce their own range of exercise machines including electric treadmills. This is not surprising as the treadmill is the most popular choice of exercise equipment to keep fit with.

If you are thinking of buying one then you need to take a few factors into consideration. The first thing that you need to do is to decide how much you will spend. This can be determined by what you and whoever else wants to achieve by using a treadmill. If you search around you can pick up a decent Ironman treadmill for under $1500. Although, treadmills are basically the same in terms of the components used in their construction they do vary greatly in price. The budget machines tend to have no motors, are light in weight and are only suitable for walking rather than running. Their light weight construction means they are very portable and they also take up less room compared to the more bulky expensive machines.

The mid price range models will include treadmills with a sturdier frame and more added features. This range is suitable for someone who wants a running workout for 3 or 4 times a week. If you are serious about your training then the top of the range models are the best. They have the most powerful motors, stronger build quality and plenty of features that use the latest computerised technology. They also have longer warranties on the frame and parts.
