In terms of what your requirements are, a full size couch or sofa may not be able to fit in your space. This is where those flexible and convertible sitting/sleeping choices come into play. There are reasons why both an ottoman or futon could be great solutions for you.

In fact, there are also several types of each of these choices as well. We’ll focus on the ottoman bed here in this article. But, if you are unsure of what will be your best option, you can easily do more searching online to research what furniture choice will work best for your particular needs.

In most cases, you’ll find that the ottoman is offered in only a twin or single size. This rests on the fact that it needs to be folded up to be that small cube size when not in use as the bed. Speaking of that, you may also find the term convertible bed to be found when discussing the ottoman. It can be be a great leg rest, informal seating arrangement or folded out to be a nice bed. They often have caster-type wheels that make them easy to roll around your home. With a simple pull on the handle and they open up to unfold to a bed, perfect for your guest.

While you could certainly use one of these for a children’s sleep over party, they are best for a more contemporary or elegant look. As such, you can choose a leather ottoman bed, perhaps making it blend in easier with your other leather furniture items in your home. These come in the standard leather colors, black, white, brown and can also be found in microsuedes or chenille. Your ottoman bed will quickly become a favorite among your friends and family guests.
