Small Bathtubs In Small Bathrooms

Small bathtubsSmall homes are popular for many reasons.  They usually cost less to purchase and furnish, and are perfect for those who don’t require lots of extra space.  That being said, they don’t offer lots of storage space, and often you can’t have a big sofa in the living room, or king-sized mattress in the bedroom.  Many people believe that by choosing to live in a small house, you’ve got to give up the thought of being able to have a tub in the bathroom.  But this is not true.  While you might not be able to have an over sized Jacuzzi tub, you don’t have to give up on the dream of having a relaxing bath simply because you have a small bathroom.  Small bathtubs are the perfect answer for those wanting a bathtub but who don’t have the space for a standard tub.

Small bathtubs are exactly that, bathtubs that are slightly smaller than traditional tubs.  While the average traditional sized bathtub is approximately 5-feet long, smaller bathtubs measure only 3-4 feet in length and are deeper in order to accommodate adults comfortably.  Just like traditional bathtubs, they are available in a range of shapes, colors and styles.  From claw-foot tubs to circular tubs, and even ones shaped to fit in corners, small bathtubs offer something for everyone.

If you’re interested in purchasing a small bathtub, you can either visit your local big-box retailers or go online to specialty vendors.  Most major bathtub manufacturers do carry a range of smaller styles, but you may need to order from a catalog.
